This collection is featuring Electric Cool eye shadows, which are a newly improved reformulation of the Big Bounce eye shadows.  I was not a fan of the Big Bounce eye shadows the first time around, as I found them to crease very easily but I might be willing to give these a try.  Pure Flash!, Superwatt, and Coil are colors that are right up my alley.  I'm keeping fingers crossed and hoping for the wear of the Maybelline Color Tattoos.  Which I currently love!

I'm thinking about picking up the Smokey Eye Kit #1.  Assuming the eye shadows are a full size, I think it's a good value.  Plus they are colors that I have previous owned and would love to have back in my current collection.

Are you planning on shopping this collection?  Are you going to try the Electric Cool eye shadows?

REVLON Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in PRECIOUS

Here is another one from my collection.  I have to say, I really do love them all.  I like this one because it's so light.  It gives you just a little bit of nude color to the lip.  It is very similar to Charm, so I don't think you need them both.   You can check out an early post with my review and a skin swatch here.

L'OREAL HIP Studio Secrets Professional Crystal Shadow Duo in Mystical

Today's post is on this very pretty eye shadow duo.  Teal eye shadow seems to be popping up every where this summer.  I talked about this in a previous post about recent Target clearance finds, but I saw it within the last few days at Rite-Aid and Walmart.

I waited to buy the Too Faced Summer Royalty Palette because I wasn't sure they colors would really work for me and by the time I saw it in the store it was sold out everywhere.  So when I came across this duo on clearance at Target, it was a no brainier.  I had to buy it!

The gold is a little powdery and there is some fall out, but it does smooth out when blended.  The teal color is gorgeous and is not chalky or powdery.  Just for the teal color, this purchase was well worth it.

The colors are great for summer and look great with a tan.

If you are looking for a teal eye shadow that won't break the bank check your local Target for this on clearance.  If not, I saw it at Walmart for around $6.

Have you been wearing teal eye shadow this summer? What is your favorite summer eye shadow color?

REVLON Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in SWEETHEART

This is one of my favorite colors from the line so far.  I think it is perfect for summer! I have been wearing it every chance I get and it is my go to lip color for pool days.  You can check out an earlier post here to see swatches on the skin and my review.

REVLON Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Sweetheart Applied

If you get a chance and you love a bright pink lip, I would definitely pick this one up when you can.  I don't want to be without mine this summer!

Have you tried any of the REVLON Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains?

 3* Way Lash Lining Tool

I just recently started using Too Faced cosmetics.  I have fallen in love with the brand and I am really excited about getting my hands on a few of the items from the Fall 2012 Collection.  I have to try the 3* Way Lash Lining Tool and the La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cremes, but I haven't decided on colors yet.  Too Faced lip liners are amazing, so I know I want to try the Neutral Nude.

I believe there will be an eye shadow palette being released as well but it has not been released on the website yet.  There is a small picture on the website here and it looks gorgeous!

I will have photos and reviews of my purchases as soon as I get them!

If you have never used Too Faced before, this collection has something for everyone.

Will you be trying anything from their Fall Collection 2012?

Hawaiian Tropic Shimmer Effect After Sun Moisturizer with Mica Minerals Review

A New Favorite in After Sun Care!

Happy Saturday Everyone! Since summer has officially began, I figured this was the perfect time to post this review.

Let me start my saying, I am avid sunscreen user.  My husband thinks I abuse the stuff.  Skin cancer runs in my family on both sides, so I take sun protection pretty serious.  But I do love to be out in the sun, and whether it's from the salt from the ocean and beach air, the chlorine from the pool, or just from being in the sun all day, my skin can feel tight and dried out.

This after sun moisturizer smells of sweet coconut and papaya.  It's extremely moisturizing and leaves the skin feeling smooth with a subtle golden sheen.  Hawaiian Tropics Shimmer Effect After Sun Moisturizer does not contain mineral oil, which I know is an important factor to many people.

The bottle contains 6 fl. oz. of product and retails for between $7 and $10 depending on where you purchase it.

I can 100% recommend the purchase of this product and I will definitely be repurchasing it for myself.

Do You Shop Drug Store Makeup Deals and Sales?

Drug store makeup brands have been getting better and better with every collection launch.  With the colors and the quality,  and you just can not beat the price.  Rite-Aid, Walgreens, and the CVS in my area are always running weekly sales and deals on different brands.  Buy one get one 50% off  is a common print in the Sunday flyer, and Rite Aid often offers 40% off of an entire brand.  That has to be my favorite deal!

I find myself trying things I would not have ordinarily purchased when my Rite-Aid offers 40% off.  I have actually found one of my favorite summer lip glosses through a random Rite-Aid purchase just because of a sale.

So, with the awesome deals that drug stores put out on a weekly basis does it cause you to buy and try more  drug store makeup brands?

What were some of your latest drug store deals?

What Did You Haul From The Bath and Body Works Semi-Annual Sale?

I was able to stock up on my favorite scent Into the Wild, before it was discontinued. I pick up a few Wild Apple Daffodil items, I would have gotten more but I got the last scrub and body cream my store had.  My son decided to make his entrance into the world on the day the sale started so I wasn't able to pick up everything I planned because my store was out of most of it by the time I got there.   But having my new little guy here is worth being down a few body scrubs! =)

I also picked up a few candles and some men's body wash for my hubby. He needs to smell good too!

What did you haul from this sale?  Did you stock up on everything you wanted?

TooFaced Candlelight Glow Duo Review

I had been dying to try this product from the moment I saw the photos of the Summer Royalty promos.  I have always loved TooFaced products but I had never tried a highlighter from them.  The Candlelight Glow Duo met all of my expectations and beyond.

The packaging is so incredibly elegant.  That alone makes me feel like I am using something really luxurious.  The application is flawless and I found the texture to be extremely smooth.  This product is split down the middle giving you two color options.  On one side there is a sheer light gold and on the other there is a very light rose pink.  You can use them separate or swirl them together.  I prefer swirling them together and getting a champagne glow.

For my skin tone, this color is perfect! However, I do think it would look beautiful on anyone!   I found it to be great quality and there was nothing chalky about it. There is a lot of product packed in this pan, but if I ever use it all, I will definitely be repurchasing it!

Super cute chandelier imprint in the powder.

This is a lovely highlighter.  I can definitely recommend this product if you are in the market for a new highlighting product or if you are just looking to grow your collection and have an additional highlighting option.

This product changed my mind about powder highlighters and I am looking forward to testing more in the future.

This product retails for $29. Here is a direct link if you want to check it out for yourself. =)  https://www.toofaced.com/p-1205-candlelight-glow-highlighting-powder-duo.aspx?

Target Clearance Beauty Deals Found This Week

I had to run out to Target last night for a few essentials for the house.  Well, I can not get to the toilet paper without passing the cosmetic section and as always, I had to look.  I was not looking for anything in particular; I was really just browsing.

A lot of the times, I find clearance cosmetic items on the end caps near the pharmacy.  But last night, I actually found a ton of clearance tags on the cosmetic tags on the shelves.  L'oreal had a ton of eye shadows, powders, and lipsticks on clearance for $5 and under.

I wanted to share it with you guys because I know that most Targets, at least in my area, tend to clearance the same items at the same time.

I picked up 3 clearance items and I'm excited about all of them!

Revlon Grow Luscious Lash Liner in Onyx Retail $8.99  Clearance$1.97
L'oreal HIP Studio Secrets crystal shadow duo in Mystical Retail$7.14 Clearance$3.57
Essie Nail Polish in Cascade Cool from the new summer collection Retail $7.79 Clearance $5.45

I have mentioned before that I like saving a few dollars on cosmetics here and there and what better way to do it then finding awesome items on clearance! =)

Do you shop the clearance sections at Target in search of a great cosmetic deal?

Simple Skin Care Cleansing Facial Wipes Review

After spending a few days in the hospital, due to the birth of my son, and using these like crazy I wanted to post a review on the Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes.

These facial wipes are amazing! They actually do what they claim and remove waterproof makeup!  I only wear waterproof mascara, so for me this is very important.

They are very gentle on your skin and truly did leave my skin feeling clean and soft.  I did not break out from using them.  The wipes contain Pro-Vitamin B5 that is said to restore, soften and smooth the skin.  They are alcohol free and contain no dyes or perfumes.  They are hypoallergenic and safe for contact lens wears to use.

They run just under $5, depending on where you you get them.  I got mine at Walmart, and each package contains 25 wipes.

If you are looking for a great facial wipe that is sensitive on the skin, I would definitely give these a try.

Have you tried these or another product from the Simple brand?  This product has me eager to try the rest of the Simple line!

BareMinerals MOXIE Lipgloss Swatch in Rock Star

I received this in a kit that I ordered from QVC.  This is my first gloss from BareMinerals and I am very impressed.  For as light as the color is, it is very pigmented.  It is very shiney but not sticky.  I found this to wear well for several hours, similar to the wear time of a MAC lipglass.

I love the nude peach color of this gloss.  I am excited to receive the next installment kit by BareMinerals from QVC.  You can check out the kit for yourself at QVC.

My New Obsession With Lip Products

I Have No Will Power When It Comes To Lip Products These Days!

I went a long time without wearing lip products, much less buying them after my son was born.  I was always kissing him and leaving marks on his little cheeks, so I eventually, subconsciously, phased everything but balm out of my routine.  Not that I'm kissing my little man any less these days, but it seems like I am suddenly obsessed with lip products once again.

I have recently been buying new lip products like they are going out of style. So be looking for many more lip product swatches and reviews!

Anyone else in the same boat? Let me know in the comments.  I would love to know some of your favorites both old and new.

BeFine Food Skin Care Night Cream Review

A Beauty Army Sample Review

I received this product in one of my Beauty Army Kits.  After using it in it's entirety, I wanted to share my thoughts and post a review.

I chose this sample because it was a night cream that was allergen and paraben free.

There was no animal testing done for this product and it was made in the USA.

I really enjoyed using this product.  It felt great on my skin, and did not leave my skin feeling greasy or weighed down.   It was very moisturizing and did not cause me to break out.  While I did enjoy this, I did not feel it was thick enough for a night cream.  It felt like a daytime lotion, minus the SPF.

This little .5 fl. oz tube was full, and I was able to get about 10 days of use out of it.  Which I thought was awesome!  However, after the 10 days, I did not notice any change in my skin or that the product had benefited my skin in any way.  The directions say to use it every night for "improved skin tones".  I saw no change in my skin tone and I would have expected to see some improvement after 10 days of use.

If you would like more info on this product, it is available here.

Just because it did not work for me, does not mean it will not work for you.  I just want to share my honest opinion on how the product worked for me.

If you are interested in a monthly beauty sample subscription box, check out Beauty Army.  I love that you get to choose your samples each month and can retake your beauty profile whenever you want and as many times as you want!

Sally Hansen Swatch and Review in Pacific Blue: NOTW

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Pacific Blue

I first saw this color in a video by one of my favorite girls to watch on youtube, Melissa.  You guys can check her out HERE, her youtube name is Melmphs.  Look her up!  She's awesome and has a great personality!

Sally Hansen 420 Pacific Blue, 2 coats applied.

I just loved how bright the color was! This polish cost $2.79 at Target and after hunting for a while, I grabbed it the second I spotted it!

The color applied so smooth and I had no issues with streaking.  The only thing I did not like, was that the polish itself smelled funny to me.  But that could just be my pregnant nose! =)  Obviously, I will be looking past the smell because this color is awesome!  If you guys see it in the store, I definitely recommend picking this on up!

Let me know if you guys pick this up or already have it.  Can you recommend any new polishes to me?

Sonia Kashuk Blush in Sunset

This is such a gorgeous color!! It's like summer in a compact!  It applies so nicely to the skin and looks amazing with a tan, real or faux. =)

I love the bright pop of color this blush gives you! It looked a little bright for me in the pan, but I have totally fallen in love with it! I have definitely grabbed for this color more times than not this month.

Available at Target for around $9.00.  Currently on Target's website they have a $2.00 off coupon, click HERE to get it!  This makes it an even better deal!  I am so glad I did not pass this one up!

Let me know if you try this or if you already have it in your collection.
