Guava Kids Baby Mitts and Boots Review and Giveaway

Guava Mitts and Boots are the next MUST HAVE baby item.  As a mom who has previously struggled to keep mittens and socks or booties on my babies, these awesome new products seemed genius to me.   Both the Mitts and the Boots have velcro closures so they are more secure and baby will have a harder time pulling or kicking them off.

These make the perfect baby gift.  They are so much better than the traditional baby mitten or bootie.  Believe me, I have seen my share of those items.  My two oldest boys always managed to get their mittens off and scratch their little faces.  With the velcro closure, they are fasten and baby is better protected from his/her finger nails.

The Winner has been chosen and notified.  I am currently having technical issues having the winner's name displayed on the widget.  Thank you to everyone who entered!

Good luck to everyone who enters!

Skin Actives Twilight Awaking Vitamin A Cream Review

Skin Actives is a brand I was not familiar with and had actually never heard of.  That actually intrigued me to give it a shot and review it.  Skin Actives sells a wide variety of skin and body care but can also be purchased wholesale for the creation of your own line.  I don't particularly think that is a good or bad thing, but think it's a good way for Salon's to carry "their brand" of a skin care line.

The Skin Actives Twilight Awaking is a Vitamin A night cream, that should be applied directly to clean skin.  This is a yellow cream, not white like others, that has a very light smell to it.

The Twilight Cream contains several amazing ingredients such as pomegranate oil, hyaluronic acid, and it's loaded with peptides.

My Thoughts:

I like that there is no junky fillers in the product.  However, after the product was on your skin for a while the smell changed.  I didn't care for the smell of the oxidized product.  But that's not to say that I didn't see results over a 2 week period of time.  I did find that it did help lighten dark spots, but the use of sun screen with this product is a must!

Overall:

I thought it was  a good product, but not one of the first ones that I would recommend to someone.

Warning:

This product can increase the risk of sunburn.  You should use this product at night and wear the proper sun protection during the day.

Cake Lingerie Cotton Candy Nursing Bra Review

My Favorite Nursing Bra To Date

Racer back closure

I have tried so many different nursing bras over the course of being a nursing mom.  The Cotton Candy Bra from Cake Lingerie is by far my all time favorite.  This bra is so comfortable that it can be worn all day long or even to sleep at night.  The racer back closure and the wide bottom band give the perfect amount of support.  And if that wasn't enough, there is also side ribbing for additional support.  The clips are so easy to unclip with just one hand, that you don't have to worry about struggling while holding baby.

It has molded cups which give a seamless look under your clothing, which is very important to me.  My favorite part is that this is a tagless bra.  Tags can be irritating and cutting them out can sometimes make it worse.

This bra comes in S, M, L, and XL.  Cake Lingerie provides an easy to use sizing grid on their website.  The Cotton Candy Bra also comes in nude, grey, navy blue, and blush.  So there is a color for everyone.

Hands down, this is my favorite bra to wear.  It is perfect for pregnancy and without missing a beat it moves into nursing.  I have 2 in this style and love them!

If you are looking for a comfortable nursing bra that can be worn day or night, this is the one I recommend.  Tracey hit the nail on the head when designing this bra!  It can be purchased for $49 directly from Cake Lingerie, Nordstrom and several other online retailers.

I hope you enjoyed this post.

Jouer Neutral Powder Eyeshadow Swatches and Review

If you love to wear neutral tones, you will go crazy over these Jouer eyeshadows!

L to R: Meringue, Almond, Toffee, and Chestnut

Meringue: A satin natural buff.  Almond: Matte warm beige.

Toffee:  Shimmering golden brown.  Chestnut:  Matte honey brown.

L to R: Meringue, Almond, Toffee, Chestnut

My Thoughts:

I fell in love with Jouer from the first product I ever used from them.  The quality is amazing through and through and there hasn't been a product that has let me down yet.  These eyeshadows are silky smooth and have great pigmentation.  They lasted on my primed lid for 10+ hours without a setting spray.  They blend out perfectly to create an effortless neutral eye.

The Jouer eyeshadows are amazing quality and totally worth checking out! In my opinion, they are a MUST TRY MUST HAVE!

These retail for $20 and can be purchased at Jouer or Nordstrom.  If you are curious about a shade, the Jouer website has an awesome tool that allows you to click on a shade and it shows it to you on four different skin tones.  The site also gives you suggestions on other products to pair items with.   This makes shopping online much easier and much more fun.

Thanks so much for reading!
