MAC Temperature Rising Collection Summer 2013

Here is what I have so far on MAC's upcoming summer collection Temperature Rising which is set to release in May.  I was kind of bummed that there weren't any single eye shadows this time around.  I like having the option of only buying the color that suits me.  Other than that so far I'm impressed and excited about this collection as I am about every MAC summer release.  MAC summer and holiday collections are usually my favorite. 

This collection is also going to launch a new product for MAC, the Powerchrome Eye Pencils.  The bronzers and bronzing oil may look familiar, as they were also were included in last years Hey Sailor Collection. Now for the color story:

MAC Year Of The Snake: A Lot of Repromotes

These promo photos had me over the top excited for this collection to be released.  I can usually be quoted saying that about every MAC special collection that comes out, but I just can't help myself.

This collection is set to launch in February 2013.  These shades are either repromotes or part of MAC's permanent collection, but since I am rebuilding my MAC collection I am without most of these shades.  However, I also don't need most of them because I am mostly a neutral girl.

MAC Archie's Girls Collection Sneek Peek

We will all find out this Spring if we are really a Betty or a Veronica when MAC's Archie's Girls collection is released.  It is set to launch in Spring of 2013, which will probably be more like February.

MAC Double Donation Day With Any Viva Glam Purchase

I love Viva Glam products and love them even more for this reason.  If you've been wanting to try something from the line today is a great day to do it! They are going to double the donation to their AIDS foundation.  If you didn't know, any purchase from MAC's Viva Glam line goes directly to their AIDS foundation.  It really is a great program.

My recommendations would be the Viva Glam V (5) lipstick and lipglass and the Viva Glam VI (6) lipglasss, which are my favorites.  But Viva Glam Nikki is great for a bright pink lip!

MAC GLAMOUR DAZE HOLIDAY COLLECTION 2012

This collection, that will be releasing late October or early November (official date not yet released), is in one word STUNNING! This ultra feminine collection appears to live up to it's name.  It looks so glamorous!  Superb and Whisper of Gilt Extra Dimension skin finishes that released at the beginning of the year are being repromoted.  The collection also features several amazing gift sets.  After seeing these photos, I think this is the best collection MAC has released all year!

New Found Love For An Old Favorite: MAC Teddy

MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy

I have been using MAC for so many years.  On one of my very first trips to the MAC counter, I was sold the Teddy eye kohl.  This was part of my everyday makeup routine, until I became practically dependent on using liquid liners.

The other day I decided I needed to go through some of my makeup that I had not used in a while and show it some love.  I am so glad I did.  I have fallen in love with Teddy all over again!!

It is a gorgeous dark brown with copper flecks in it!

MAC Cut A Caper

At First Was A Miss, But Now It's A Hit!

 I had been waiting for this lipstick to be re-released from MAC and ordered it the second it went online.  I was actually disappointed with it at first and put it in a drawer until now.  I really believed that this was a bust product for me and I was crushed because I was in love with it's color.  That's why I had to write this post today.

I decided to give it another try but using it up underneath a lip gloss this time.  Before I could even get the lipgloss on, I realized a difference in the lipstick.  I had thought it was drying at first, but now it seems to be creamy and leave a slight glossy finish.  I am now thinking it was just my lips recovering from my dehydration after delivering my son.  

I like to try a product a few times before I write a negative thing about it and I am so glad I did. I will be grabbing for this for the remainder of August and September and possibly layering it for a fall look.  

Cut A Caper has a Lustre finish and was repromoted with MAC's Heavenly Creature Collection.  It is still available on the Nordstrom website.  

Do you have a product that was a bust before it was a lust?  Sorry about the cheesy lines.  Just love it!

The Wait Is Over: MAC Moth Brown

This was delivered today and in less than a minute I was in love. This color is amazing! It appears to be a dark grey with some shimmer but it has some purple tones in it and you can see them when the light hits it just right. 

I am so excited that I finally own this color.  I've been hearing about it for a while and was thrilled when I found out that it was voted in the top 3 for the MAC By Request collection.

Happy 4th of July!! MAC's Brave Red Lipstick!

4th of July is one of my favorite holidays!  It's a great summer holiday to enjoy your family, friends, and great food and drinks!  Since I just had a baby, we decided to spend the day at home, cook out, and relax.

Today, I am appropriately wearing MAC's Brave Red Lipstick.  This is one of my must have red lipsticks.  It is a slightly muted red with a cremesheen finish.

On a personal note, this picture was taken on July 4, 2009.  My husband had just returned from his deployment.  Here he is, getting his first snuggle from our son who had grown 7 months since he had last held him.  As my husband is scheduled to deploy again and our second son is 3 weeks old today, I am sure to have another photo like this around Memorial Day 2013.

I would just like to take the time to thank all the men and women who have dedicated a day, a year, their career, or their life to keeping us save in the land of the free.

This collection is featuring Electric Cool eye shadows, which are a newly improved reformulation of the Big Bounce eye shadows.  I was not a fan of the Big Bounce eye shadows the first time around, as I found them to crease very easily but I might be willing to give these a try.  Pure Flash!, Superwatt, and Coil are colors that are right up my alley.  I'm keeping fingers crossed and hoping for the wear of the Maybelline Color Tattoos.  Which I currently love!

I'm thinking about picking up the Smokey Eye Kit #1.  Assuming the eye shadows are a full size, I think it's a good value.  Plus they are colors that I have previous owned and would love to have back in my current collection.
